“Kirik kiz” Short annotation of the play

Karakalpak poem “Kirik kiz” is one of the largest poems in our country. In this poem it teaches how to be affectionate with Motherland, parents, relatives and how to protect them.
In this poem there is Gulayim that is main hero. Allayar is rich man and has got six sons and a girl who is clever, knowledgeable and brave. Gulayim asked his father Allayar to give her the place “Mevali” to bulid a bastion and protect her people from enemies. In this bastion there she conducted military trainings with her friends. Gulayim is so beautiful and cute that some boys loved her. Also, Jurin, who is Allayar’s robe, loved her too. Jurin started thinking about varied cunnings to be together with Gulayim. When he was going to marry Gulayim just now, Surtaysha who is king of Kalmak, attacked to Allayar’s homeland. When Allayar and his people were confirmed by Surtaysha, Gulayim rescued her parents and her people from enemies with her fiurty girls and achieved her wishes and goals.
